This curriculum is designed to be used with students from 3rd through 8th grade in conjunction with Mead and Mello's trip. It is also suitable for children with special needs. Its purpose is to extend the experience of sharing this adventure through a selection of activities. You will find a variety of lessons from traditional word searches to creative problem solving. Many lessons suggest ways in which the level may be increased or decreased, but each teacher will know best how to adapt these lessons to his or her own student group. There is no required sequence of lessons although some lessons do suggest a logical follow-up activity.
This curriculum is copyrighted, but provided for use here free for any teacher to use personally for an educational purpose. Reproducing the material other than for use in your own classroom is prohibited.
